tek expects to ship nrly 8 million ZenFones in 2014

tek Computer has seen booming sales of ZenFone and expects to ship 2.8-2.9 million units in the third quarter of 2014 and nrly eight million units in the whole yr, according to company CEO Jerry Shen.

tek has launched the ZenFone in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Russia and Tur, Shen said. The ZenFone will launch in Brazil in the fourth quarter and a customized TD-LTE-enabled version will appr in the China market through cooperation with China Mobile in November, Shen indied.

tek plans to unveil second-eration ZenFones at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show scheduled for January and launch LTE-enabled models in the US in 2015. tek aims to ship 16 million ZenFone in 2015, with LTE-enabled units to account for over 40%.Digitimes
